About

I have always believed that words can reach places we cannot physically go. For me, that journey started at a young age.

I started writing in the 5th grade, when I won my first writing competition. From that moment on, I fell in love with poetry. It became my way of expressing thoughts and emotions that I couldn’t always articulate verbally.

In high school, a teacher discovered my talent and encouraged me to join a newswriting competition. Although I had no prior experience in newswriting, I embraced the opportunity and achieved 2nd place in Parañaque City.

The following year, I became Punong Patnugot and wrote for the Editorial Filipino category. I was blessed to become a city champion and represent Parañaque at the National Capital Region level.

Writing not only fueled my passion but also created opportunities for my career. At 20 years old, I secured a solid position in my first corporate job due to my writing skills. I was assigned to create technical documentation for the IT support of a data center company, an experience that demonstrated the power and practicality of writing.

In 2018, I published my first book, followed by another one in 2021. Each one carries parts of my journey, my faith, and the lessons I have learned along the way.

But even before all of these, I have always wanted to create a space where I can simply write and connect with people.

That dream became Soul Notes by Arbie.

This blog is a collection of reflections on faith, marriage, motherhood, and becoming. A space for honest words, quiet growth, and gentle reminders that we are never alone in our journey.

I write not because I have all the answers,
but because someone, somewhere, might need these words too.
